Frequently asked questions
Short answers to the questions candidates and employers ask most often. Candidates use RemoteBoard for free, employers pay a flat monthly plan with no per-post fees. If your question is not here, write to [email protected].

For candidates
Is RemoteBoard free for candidates?
Yes. Browsing, every filter, saved jobs up to 200 saved jobs and up to 10 email alerts are free for candidates, with no paid tier. Only employers pay.
Where do the jobs come from?
From two sources. Most jobs come from the public career boards that companies publish on their own sites or applicant tracking systems. The rest are posted directly by employers on a paid plan. We do not copy listings from other job boards.
How often are jobs updated?
Each company career board is refreshed every hour. New roles appear at the next refresh, and roles the company closes are removed at the next refresh.
What does Worldwide mean on a job?
Worldwide means the company says it accepts applicants from any country. It does not always mean you can move freely after hiring, and the job may still require certain working hours. Check the original post for details.
How does the timezone filter work?
When a post states hours, such as UTC-5 to UTC+1 or CET plus or minus 3 hours, we store it as a UTC offset range. The overlap slider shows jobs whose range fits the offsets you choose. Jobs that state no timezone stay in results.
How does the salary filter work?
When a post publishes a salary range, we convert it to USD per year. The salary floor hides jobs whose published range is below your number, and Salary shown only hides jobs without a published range.
How do job alerts work?
Any search can be saved as an alert. You choose daily or weekly emails, and each email lists new jobs that match. You can keep up to 10 alerts and unsubscribe from any of them with one click.
How do I apply for a job?
Click Apply on company site. For jobs from company career boards, you apply on the company's own site or applicant tracking system. For jobs posted directly on RemoteBoard, the button leads to the application process the employer set up.
How do I stay safe from fake jobs?
Apply through the company's own site, never pay any fee to apply, and share identity or bank details only after a written offer. If a listing looks fake, email [email protected] with the link and we will review it.
For employers
How do employers post a job?
Choose a plan, then write a job in our editor or paste the address of your Greenhouse, Lever or Ashby job board. Connected boards sync your remote roles automatically.
How much do employer plans cost?
Starter is 99 USD per month for up to 3 active jobs, Growth is 299 USD per month for up to 10 active jobs and 3 featured slots per month, and Scale is 699 USD per month for up to 30 active jobs, 10 featured slots, a premium company page, CSV export and 10 team seats.
Is there a discount for yearly billing?
Yes. Yearly billing is 50 percent off: 49, 149 and 349 USD per month, billed once a year.
How does ATS sync work?
Paste your Greenhouse, Lever or Ashby board address. We detect the system, import your remote roles and keep them in sync. New roles appear, closed roles are removed and edits follow automatically. ATS sync is included in every plan.
What is a featured job?
On Growth and Scale, a featured slot pins a job at the top of matching pages for 30 days, with a highlighted card and a place in the top block of alert emails. Slots are counted per billing month, and deleting a featured job does not return its slot.
What does the active job limit mean?
It is the number of jobs that can be live at the same time. When a job closes or you unpublish it, you can publish another one in its place.
Can I cancel anytime, and do I get invoices?
You can cancel at any time in your billing settings, and your plan stays active until the end of the paid period. Every payment comes with an invoice that includes your company name and tax details.
Do you offer refunds?
Payments are final. We refund only a duplicate charge, a proved unauthorised charge or a total failure of the service. The details are in our refund policy at /refund-policy.
How can a company remove its jobs from RemoteBoard?
Email [email protected] from your company domain with the address of your career board. We remove your jobs within 24 hours and stop reading your board.
