In short. Payments for RemoteBoard employer plans are final, and we refund only in the specific cases listed in section 3. Before you pay, the one-time ATS preview lets you see how your jobs look on RemoteBoard, so you know what you are buying. You can cancel at any time in a couple of clicks.
Candidates never pay for RemoteBoard, so this policy applies to employer subscriptions only.
1. Payments are final
An employer plan is a monthly or yearly subscription that gives access to employer features for a period, with the limits shown on our pricing page: a number of jobs active at once, featured slots per billing period, ATS sync, statistics and team seats. We do not sell single posts or credits. You pay for access for the period, and that access is granted in full at the start of the period, whether or not you publish anything.
The plan is delivered as described, and the one-time ATS preview lets you see how your jobs look as RemoteBoard cards before you pay. If you no longer want the plan, you can cancel at any time and no further renewal is charged.
For consumers in the EU. At checkout you ask us to start the Service immediately. By doing so, you acknowledge that you lose your statutory right of withdrawal once the Service has started. If you do not want the Service to start immediately, do not complete the purchase.
2. What we do not refund
The following are not grounds for a refund, in full or in part:
- changing your mind, or no longer needing to hire,
- filling a role sooner than expected, or not receiving the number or quality of applicants you hoped for,
- not using the plan during a paid period, including not publishing any job,
- a renewal charged after one or more failed payment attempts (see section 5),
- believing the plan was a one-off payment (every plan is a recurring subscription, as stated on the pricing page, at checkout, in the confirmation email and in your account),
- forgetting to cancel before a renewal date, or cancelling just after one,
- a feature not existing or not working as you assumed, where it is not described on our pricing page,
- your ATS board being unavailable, private or not supported,
- a job removed because it broke our Terms of Service,
- buying the wrong plan or billing period,
- unused time after cancelling (access runs to the end of the paid period and is not prorated),
- anyone else using your account, including team members you invited.
3. The only exceptions
We refund only in the cases below, only where the facts can be shown from records, and only up to the amount of the affected charge.
- Duplicate charge. You were billed twice for the same period because of a fault in our billing.
- Proved unauthorised charge. Someone used your card without your permission, you report it to us within 14 days of the charge, and the records held by us and by our payment provider confirm it. A claim alone is not enough. We may ask you to confirm that you have reported the misuse to your card issuer.
- Total failure of service. A confirmed fault on our side made the employer features completely unusable for a continuous period, you reported it to us at the time, and we could not fix it. Partial problems, delays in ATS sync and issues with your own device, network or ATS are not included.
When we grant a refund, it is our only and complete liability for that charge, it is limited to the amount you paid for the affected period, and it goes back to the original payment method. One refund does not create a right to another.
4. How to ask for a refund
Email [email protected] from the address on your employer account within 14 days of the charge. Include the invoice number, the date and amount of the charge, and which exception in section 3 applies, with any evidence you have. Requests sent after 14 days are not considered.
We review requests in the order we receive them and reply by email. We do not enter into further correspondence about declined requests.
Opening a chargeback instead of contacting us first is a breach of our Terms of Service and leads to permanent closure of the account.
5. Renewals, failed payments and cancelling
You can cancel at any time in your billing settings, without contacting us. Cancelling stops all future renewals. You keep access until the end of the period already paid. Cancelling is not a refund request.
Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. When a new period starts, access for the whole period is granted and payment for it is due. If the charge fails, our payment provider retries it over the following days. Those retries concern a period that has already started, so cancelling stops later renewals but does not cancel the amount already due. Once the outstanding invoice is paid or written off, no more attempts are made.
To avoid a renewal, cancel before the renewal date shown in your account.
6. What we keep on record
When you create an employer account you accept our Terms of Service, which include this Refund Policy, and our Privacy Policy. Before you pay, checkout shows the plan, price, billing period and the fact that it renews automatically. The same details appear in your confirmation email and in your account.
For every subscription we keep the date and time of purchase, the plan and price shown at checkout, your acceptance of these terms, the confirmation email, renewal notices and a log of account activity, such as sign-ins, jobs published, ATS connections and team invitations. Our payment provider keeps its own record of each transaction, including the result of 3D Secure authentication.
We assess refund and unauthorised charge claims against these records. If a chargeback is raised, we submit them to your bank or card issuer.
